As the Middle East erupts, the 'west' shivers with fear. Fear of the outcome, fear of the consequences, and fear of the potential. How will the flow of oil be affected? The most predominant concern is 'oil'. No-one in position cares about 'democracy', the people or their desire for freedom. Diplomats and political spokespersons are tongue-tied with fear and shiver in confusion. What to do? If they speak up for the people do they betray their commitments to big oil and big business. It is time to change the dependency and the control.
Vehicular, air and sea transport that is fueled by oil must be limited to the transport of necessary items including but not necessarily limited to food, medical needs, emergency items and products vital to life. Long distant transport of people can proceed on the overabundant number of roads that connect however all transport within populated ares has to be limited to foot, horse, bicycle, and other modes not requiring oil. The environment, the natural world and humanity will benefit while big business, politics, war, and all nefarious issues will diminish in their ability to affect.
Modern communications, the Internet, etc. business and family mass-travel will continue without the need for oil however slower and less congested. Man's greed has and will continue to destroy unless the people take a firm and strong stand for reform.
