Convertible Moammar

Did you catch Moammar jutting out of the car roof in Tripoli yesterday? He certainly thinks he is in a good position. Seriously flawed conviction but a Kadaffy trait nonetheless as he waved his fights as a victor entering the arena. Delusional, yeah. Does he have enough support on the streets of Tripoli to overcome his people's revolt? Probable not, as his paid sycophants and extended family and tribesmen certainly do not relish the end of his regime. Uncertainty and possible death by revenging countrymen surly await those who remain loyal to Moammar in the event of his demise. He is another Kling-on dictator too wrapped up in his own inability to relinquish his hold and retire into obscurity. Perhaps he can not find a 'suitable' asylum where he can maintain his excentric and demented life style.
Oh, will no other Middle Eastern dictator offer suitable accomodations? Is he as reviled by them as he is by the west? It does appear so as he klings-on to a shrinking power and evaporating support for it may be that those who still honestly support him may be decreasing in number. If Libya is lucky one disgruntled member of the Kaddafy ruling class may just develop the guts to rid us of this erratic ruler. Any being who could cause intentional harm and death to his countrymen deserves not to remain in any position of power or control. Once he turned his military on his people he lost any credibility even that smiggen he achieved after admitting terrorist involvement and dismantling his most haneous weaponry.
Moammar it is time to leave albeit minus dignity or respect for that was lost when you began your reign of terror on the Libyan people and the innocents for whose deaths you are responsible. Whatever the mechanics, no matter the recourse, step down and allow the people of Libya to chart their own course. If it is democracy they want then, then it is democracy they fight for. You are essentially alone, void of international support and hated by most of Libya so, why would you stay?
