In reaction to unmatched greed by the rich and powerful in concert with limitless political corruption and the distortion of the truth by co opted media the Occupy movement grows. It took many years and much disillusion but finally the people are waking up. Unemployment, foreclosures, bank and Wall Street bailouts and the rise in the combined wealth of the 1% are the motivating factors. This will not be stopped by government, police, media cohorts or big business. So long as the government, through elected officials, forsakes the people for the concerns of the rich and powerful, the movement will grow. So long as unemployment increases or remains constant the reaction will spread. Like all spoiled children, the rich and powerful, through the purchase of elected representatives, lobbying and media collusion have and will continue to take another inch, another mile.
When the citizens of any country are hungry they always take to the streets. France, Russia, Egypt, Libya are just a few examples. America may be facing similar experiences. President Obama would be well advised to capture the moment and harness the energy and discontent of his people. He must come out strong and determined as he pits 'the corrupt' against 'the people'. If he were to actually speak for the Occupy movements and address his people's concerns he would be unbeatable in 2012.
Although all one need do is take a look at any one of his would-be competitors and intelligence dictates he can not lose. What a small brush they all paint. The only one with an original or radical idea is Ron Paul and he doesn't have the religion to gather ballots at the ballot box. A motlier crew has never been gathered in the history of the GOP. If nothing else it signals a potential death but one that will be fraught with much controversy, idiocy and outdated dogma. This decline is quite entertaining but, the debates are onerous to say the least.
No-one in the GOP has even the most remote clue as to the whys of the Occupy Movement. As the nominees in their infinite wisdom (NOT) cackle endlessly calling the occupiers thieves, drunks, prostitutes and comment 'it is just a place to meet chicks'. That is the typical response from the typical right-wing sell-out who represents only the wishes of big money. Occupy and occupy some more and never again trust those you elect to represent you. They have failed miserably to represent the people and in so doing they sold their honor and dignity to the highest bidder. Occupy!!!!!!!!!!

Who is going to stop them?
Mitt claims he will and all the neo-cons comment they can stop Iran's nuclear pursuit with another unilateral US attack. In this case the initial strike will be of Israeli origin but will soon be followed by US ground troops. That is exactly want America needs...another loosing war at tremendous human and economic cost. Did we not hear the exact rhetoric from the last neo-con President and his bevy of neo-con advisers. We all know the history of the Iraq and Afghan wars and we know that neither was monumental in its success. Thus, the Republican way is not the approach to take. President Obama is proceeding properly on this issue.
Many other countries that America claimed would never get nuclear weapons have them such as Pakistan, India, Korea and Iran may soon have them. There is little that can be done to stop a determined regime. Iran has safeguards, underground sites and surely has designed a system where more than one production facility exists. An Israeli air attack might slow down the Iranian nuclear program it will not however stop the desire for or the production of nuclear weapons. Only time may be gained from an Israeli attack. What are the long term ramifications of such an attack?
One has to examine why Iran would use nuclear weapons against Israel because to do so endangers all Palestinians, Jordan, Syria, Arabia and Egypt at the least. That is allot of Shia Muslims endangered. In fact wind and air currents could push harmful fallout directly over Iran. A Decline in Genetic Evolution
Haven't written a thing since August and there is much to comment on. Most important are the people of Libya, Egypt and Syria and the final fall of Moahmar Ghadafy. Democacry and freedom will grow and spread across the entire Middle East. Eventually Palestine will benefit from the proximity of free brothers and sisters on her borders. This pressure may be the medicine needed to cure the pandemic of hatred and death that festers between Palestine and Israel. There are autrocities on both sides followed by many wrongs but, the quantity and intensity of the injustices suffered by the Palestinian people are unmatched in their dominance.
As the seeds of democracy sprout across many nations the roots of democracy in the west rot and wither under the burdens of corporate greed, political corruption and Wall Street manipulations. An unrest is growing soon unstoppable. As awareness and hunger increase discontent and anger manifest. Perhaps the world as we know it is facing change and that may be a good thing. The interim is unsettling and distinctive alterations appear in the unstable of mind and thought.
It has been observed that integrity, honor, decency and conscience are no longer admired characteristics amongst our species qualities that separated us from other species. Is the instinct for survival increasing as the dominant gene within us. Have some evolved into thieves, liars, cheats, sneaks, murderers or a combination thereof as a precursor to the Rapture? Perish the thought but what other explanation can justify conservative evangelical dogma or Christain hypocracy?
When the self perceived Superpower can no longer feed, employ or care for its own and raving religious lunatics openly run for the Office of President there are many serious problems and conflicts ahead. There is a clash of beliefs, an economic holocaust, a political explosion and an environmental catastrophe predicted by many. A sober observation provides the stimulus for considering many dark possibilities in our future. We are the masters of our own demise and it might be too late to change course before millions perish. There are some noticeable changes in personalities of people who are genuinely unbalanced to begin with.
It is apparent there are erratic human reactions to world uncertainities obvious in those predisposed to the least desirable qualities in humanity. Experience with those of that kind result in losses of great proportions beyond that of property or item. Their increasingly abhorent behaviours become more obvious as time passes and change ticks closer. It is a perversion and attitude most offensive that seems to be swelling and humanity suffers. That which is politically and economically corrupt fosters the attitude of 'it doesn't matter' because the 'world owes me'.
When those who pretend friendship are guilty of theft and deceit it indicates all hope is pointless. Recent experiences can lead one to consider the possibility that those who are greedy and believe the world owes them; will steal, cheat and lie with no regard for family, friend nor neighbour, let alone stranger. They slither into your world to help themselves at your expense under the guise of friendship minus the burdens of right and wrong. As a developing trend amongst people it is one that is often complained about as it becomes the norm. Must those who remain unaffacted by this gastly trend fight to be free or surrender to the lowest common denominator merely existing in an intellectual and emotional coma. If we don't stand up together and change our direction the Raven will tap nevermore.
Is it really that simple and clear? Books that are worshipped as the words of God, Allah, Buda and others speak and describe talking donkeys and snakes, men swallowed by whales who return unscathed three days later, men who live to be a1000 yrs old, trees that talk, sticks that divide seas, angels from heaven impregnate and virgins give birth while bushes burn yet remain green and bear fruit. Other books describe sacred men who fly around on magic carpets or dragons spewing fire and the perceptions of a heaven and hell dominate. There are too many absurdities and more contradictions.
As the planet detereorates, as the sky clouds with pollution and the waters burn with waste the human pysche declines. At the present rate of destruction time is not on our sides. Those who realize the coming misfurtunes have no escape or refuse aside from knowledge and maintaining a perspective unsoiled. If this is the future we face, change is essential if it is not too late.

The Libyan people have conquered their oppressor and the real struggle is about to begin. To all of you who have suffered under Ghadafi and his brutal regime and to all of you who took up arms to fight for freedom please accept my deepest congratulations and wishes for great success. That you united and stood up to the tyrant and defeated him at great personal risk and sacrifice, I salute you! The future is yours please do not squander all of your gains and risk your unity in resorting to old angers and hatreds. Stand strong and work together to build a healthy and vibrant democratic country.
A whole world is opening up to you, your children and your country. Use your oil wealth to help the people and improve services for the people. Libya's abundant resources and the determination of your people are great assets that will serve you well in the future. I wish the very best for Libya. Go Wisconsin !
The following is my prediction for the 're-call' elections slated for today in Wisconsin. Democratic politicians will be swept into office and a renewed America may be possible. Well, honestly it will never stop the fanatics however it will reduce their ranks and perhaps even lower their screams to a more tolerable decibel. Signing off until after the results are in. Wow, just woke up to the news from Wisconsin and am now convinced of three things.
The first thing that I had to accept is my prediction was wrong. The second thing I had to acknowledge is that America is beyond help. The third and worst thing I had to face is that American politics are corrupt beyond repair. The voters deserve every loss they suffer as they bid farewell to the middle class, Unions, Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid and fair elections while their fake freedoms are swallowed up by the vacuums of religious fanatics who are financed by the rich and powerful. America is doomed because the 'people' have been assimilated. The Coke Brothers, big business, big money and corrupt politics (gone wild) in concert with the media, have succeeded where the people have failed miserably.
No longer can big-mouth, right-wing ideologues claim Superpower status because they are just as responsible for the 'fall' as the people who support and elect them. All of you who did vote republican today in Wisconsin and all of you who will do so again throughout the country in future elections I salute your stupidity, I applaud your self-fulfilling desire to fail and I encourage you to hasten the trend.
Witnessing the self inflicted decline of America is not something to be enjoyed and I curse those who refuse to use their intellectual ability because they have had it far too good and it is too easy to not care. In their chosen state of oblivion they have relinquished themselves, their country and all prospects for a bright future. The saddest thing is, it was preventable but, the people chose Internet, TV, the cell phone, twitter, the x-box, dogma, religion and media lies over their country and their children.

Preparing for the Ideological Take Down
A political display of remarkable proportions has just been witness in the US Congress as a small but loud group of teabag supporters have successfully harnessed the power of the people and almost led America to the brink of disaster. It just takes unity, pressure and a loud voice and the fear of a god can be quickly entrenched in the minds of elected representatives. Those of you who oppose cuts to Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid get up, join forces and get loud. Those of you who want a fair tax system, higher taxes for the wealthy and big business get up, join forces and get loud. Those of you who are sick and tired of endless wars, humongous military spending and associated expenditures get up, join forces and get loud.
It seems to me if all three groups would then get up together, join forces and get loud, change would come. Washington is out of control! The surest sign is when experienced Republican representatives actually get up in Senate and debate with their Democratic fellows in order to teach the rookies over in the House about what 'representing the people' entails. This whole manufactured 'debt crisis' which was the media replacement for the Casey Anthony case was an embarrassment and did nothing but confirm the US Congress is no more than a 'roomper room' or 'playpen' for the rich and powerful. Unfortunately, the playpen is where the country is governed from and more regrettable, the people elected these children to lead. What happened over raising the debt ceiling was tantamount to treason as to do otherwise would result in an economic armaghedeon and an ensured hasty decline of America.
Spending has reached absurd and unjustifiable levels, financial committments are beyond the pale, infrastructure crumbles and America is mired in too many military and overseas money pits. Why isn't America leading in manufacturing and production and why is she stangating from within? Perhaps those elected to represented her and those who take specific oaths of office to her might want to explore the previous two questions and then apply some common sense to find a solution to America's financial problems. Revenue intake, jobs, investment in the infrastructure, higher taxes for the wealthy and big business, reformed tariffs, legalize drugs and a few more innovations might just help.
From what I witness on many news reports it is obvious that Washington is dysfunctional, has lost imagination and is rotting in a quagmire of brinkmanship, games, one-up-man-ship while being held hostage by an ideology that exists only to speed up the 'rapture'.

America 1775 - Unite or Die
America 2011 - "Unite or Die". It was the people of the Colonies who united and fought for freedom, independence and they created a country. Now, Americans face bigger threats from those who are determined to control through the guise of 'freedoms' and American values. These intruders are in concert with politicians, the media, big business and the Pentagon, they have replaced the crown. Theirs is an insidious, corrupt, devious and well managed plan to reduce the population, to strangle thought and concentration while the take over spreads throughout the country. They may be the Bilderbergs, the Illuminati and other rich and powerful groups and they may be a group of secret societies working together. They are the rich and powerful and they do intend complete power on a worldwide scale. The UN, member organizations and governments everywhere have been infiltrated. Media is vital to their success and the recent Murdock scandal in Britain is just a speck on the wall of what is really going on. When America's fall is assured it will be too late for action.
Americans have little ability to thwart the inevitable so long as they refuse to unite in thought and action at the grassroots level. They must stand strong and demand accountability. The people must learn to think on their own again and allow thought and concentration to return to brains that have been saturated by technology, media propaganda, political corruption and religious ideologies. Otherwise the likes of Eric Cantor, Sara Palin, Michelle Bachman will be victorious and their owners will prevail. Have you ever seen more ridiculous representation at the legislative level?
Where is America headed? It appears as Down is the answer. When intellectual trogs, religious ideologues, and social morons who are obsessed with regression, guns, gays and god run for the office of President of the United States it indicates a breakdown in the fabric of the entire society. Americans get off your computers, cell phones and pick up your brooms. Sweep the country clear of the threats from within. Grassroots unity and the rejection of the 'new wave' of political retardation sweeping across the country signifies a downfall of historic proportions. US Troop Withdrawals From Afganistan - My Prediction
Reducing US troop compliment in Afghanistan will be announced today by President Obama. Prior to the announcement I will predict the number being withdrawn will be small and it will be done in periodic allotments leaving behind at the least 80,000 military and all support workers. Thus, it will be a token reduction and it will be announced in order to quell recent discontent coming from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers. After Obama's speech I will continue this posting.
Well, I was pretty close in my prediction. Obama is stuck between a rock and a hard place as he nears another election, is subject to Republican ha ranging and is in a political predicament whereby he has to please both the right and the left. If he does the intelligent thing and ends the war in Afghanistan the republicans will accuse him of 'cutting and running' he will be accused of cowardice and will suffer many political and public degradations. If he decides to stay in Afghanistan he will be accused by the left of 'doing the republican thing' and will face condemnation for not following his campaign promises.
It appears as though, like most democrats. he has chosen to take the heat from the left rather than the heat from the right. The right-wing machine is more vicious, less forgiving, more rigid and stronger in their public ability to fill airwaves with erroneous untruths. The left-wing is less strong, will forgive and lacks the guts to persevere in their protests. He has appeased the right again and in so doing has again not fulfilled many campaign promises. The token withdrawal and the extension of troop commitments to 2114 is unwise for his political future because no matter what, the right will never vote for him and the left will swing with the wind making their vote uncertain.
This unfortunate decision is a result of political dogma, fear and the uncertain possibility of re-election. It is too bad that Obama has been handcuffed by the bad decisions of and the mistakes made by his predecessor. When will democrats stand on their own and ignore the right? No matter what decision is made by Obama the right will attack. It is my observation that the longer the US stays in Afganistan the worse the economy will get, terrorism will grow and a potential for an expanded military engagement with Pakistan will evolve.

Ending the war as quickly as possible would have been my choice but as I do not have access to information necessary to make the decision I should just shut up. There must be many justifications for Obama's decision I just wish I knew what they were.

Norquist Loosing Ground ?
Finally the republicans are beginning to stand up for America instead of Norquist and the pledge. That 36 republican senators voted to eliminate ethanol subsidies is a small but significant sign that Norquist is loosing his grip on the GOP. It is about time the republican party voted for the elimination of tax subsidies for the sake of America's fiscal health. Let us hope this is just one of many steps toward a workable and more financially secure future for America and her people.
Is this a sign that Republicans finally understand the fiscal predicament and tenuous economic situation facing the U.S.? It would be a miracle if they would acknowledge that Bush II, his administration and the elected Republicans in Congress are responsible for the outrageous spending and war costs associated with the 8 years they held the White House. If America and the world are lucky this will not be permitted to happen again.

CNN and the Seven Dwarfs
The only one of the Dwarfs who deserves nomination is the one who doesn't have a chance. Ron Paul speaks with common sense and logic. These characteristic alone limit his chances at the nomination regardless of the fact his ideas are the most reasonable and least offensive. His platform is closest to the founding father's intentions for America and at the same time his delivery is void of ridicule for others opinions. Mr. Paul does not degrade the President, he does however speak a truth that those in power do not want to hear.
As for the other six what do they really believe and what are their platforms? Consistency is a misnomer and the 'god thing' is irksome. Santorum is an embarrassment, Bachman is an idiot, Newt wouldn't have a chance if he had campaign workers, Romney just says anything as he panders to whichever audience he addresses, Kaine is the wrong color and Pawlenty is a yes man who says anything the 'right' wants to hear. Neither Romney nor Pawlenty tell the truth about their failures as Governor. Both are very busy denying and avoiding any actions they took that might be considered democratic.
They are not the Magnificent Seven by any stretch of the imagination. The debate was boring, predicable and proved that the dogma and rhetoric from the right is so detached from the 21st century electing any one of them to the Office of the President would turn the advancement clock back about three centuries. If all they can do is insult and degrade the President I wonder if Ron Paul is the only one of the Motley Crew who can come up with an original or forward thinking idea. The Media Shuffle
The 'media shuffle' is a dance created by Capital Hill designed to defer the media to sex, text and money while the big news is ignored. Every time a Breaking News sign appears on the screen we are assaulted with never ending media investigations of the ridiculous and the meaningless. What is being hidden as the real news slips through the fingers of our 'investigative heroes'? As media focus and report on the private lives of individuals just what shenanigans are we missing on Capital Hill and what is going on in the World? Does anyone care?
Call me crazy but the fight for democracy and the ouster of despots, peoples rebellions and 'crimes against humanity' are worthy of media attention. America has spent at least 10 years and trillions of dollars in quagmire wars in the Middle East in bloody attempts to bomb democracy into the populations. Now that the people have taken to the streets and have taken up arms against their oppressors the media and America ignore the fight for freedom. There is growing unrest throughout the region and people are fighting for their lives against their own governments and the media spends about 20 minutes total in coverage a day. Yet, a Congressman caught texting sex stuff dominates media coverage to the point of nausea.
Is it because the media is no longer the guardian of the free press or has the media relinquished its mandate to monitor government? Maybe the level of intelligence in America has sunk so low only sex, money and scandal can captivate the people long enough so they don't change the channel. Would someone explain why Al Jazeera is able to provide wall to wall live coverage of the region and still provides full coverage of other topics. Is it because America now only has a one track mind influenced by, designed by, monitored by and controlled by the US government and the media? If we are ignorant of what is going on - it won't happen here - or is it that the ability to concentrate has been programmed out of us by the government and its partner, the media?
It is time the media chose another dance partner because some of us still think world events are more important than the sexual behaviours of individual Americans.

The Golan Heights
Protesters to the north, protesters to the south and west and still Israel does not get it. If my eyes do not deceive me, if news reports are correct and if the live stream videos are real, Israeli troops fired on Syrian protesters in the Golan Heights yesterday. The protesters did not cross into Israel, they did not get close to the fences and there was no sign of small arms fire or bombs coming from the Syrian side. So, what 'terrorist' or national security threat was posed to Israel to justify the shooting of the Syrian protesters? Is the mere sight of or the mere presence of an Arab or Muslim near the Israeli border threat enough to just open fire?
If the world community remains blind and continues to accept the excuses Israel will offer for this outrage there will be no turning back. Whether the protesters were truly standing up for their beliefs or if they were there because the Syrian government desired certain distractions from there own 'crimes against humanity' doesn't matter. It will of course be claimed the protesters were Iranian instigators working on behalf of Syria etc.,etc. If over twenty people were shot to death by Israeli soldiers for no apparent reason indicates a growing uncertainty in Israel. What is so fearful about being surrounded by democratic rather than despotic countries?
As the dictators fall and as others are being challenged does Israel fear living beside countries no longer ruled by those who were so handsomely paid off by the US? It seems as though Israel is getting the jitters. It will not be so easy to confine, control, deny and dominate every Muslim or every Arab living in border countries. The numbers alone would make the effort pointless and bloody. Instead of attempting a fair and just peace with Palestine or offering goodwill gestures to those who surround her, Israel kills. If the US can no longer purchase security for the Jewish state it might be prudent for Israel to consider a different approach.

Questionable Priorities?
Today John Edwards was indited for suspicion of misuse of campaign funds relating to an attempt to cover up an extra marital affair bla bla bla. Politics, sex and money are so much more important than violations to UN treaties, the US Constitution, federal laws, military codes and regulations needless to say ethical conduct. That the US Department of Justice has not taken any actions regarding blatant criminal acts and behaviours on the part of the George Bush administration borders on treason in many peoples eyes. Torture, water boarding, rendition, lies to ensure war in Iraq and devious premeditated propaganda designed to insight war are just a few of the acts deserving of investigation and charges.
If the Justice system does not take effective action against whatever criminal acts were committed they will be committed again by future governments. In fact, the failure to indite and the failure to act provides a precedent for future criminal behaviours while increasing the divide between who can and who can not break the law legally. As it stands now politicians once elected or appointed to the highest governing positions are exempt from the law. A regular tax paying citizen however can be arrested and tried and sentenced to fines and or jail time for crimes that are minute in comparison. Is it a question of priorities, class distinctions, financial considerations or are people made untouchable once they reach the pinnacle positions in the US government?
We are all equal under the law yet it appears as though some are more equal than others. Lady Justice with her scales is a symbol of that ideal equality but, she has been insulted and the ideal has become laughable. Whatever happened to holding elected officials to a higher standard? Curiosity and conspiracy aside, why have there been no arrests or indictments against Cheney, Bush, Rove, Rice and others including the lawyers who twisted and misrepresented the law to sanction the crimes. As for the government representatives and the contractors who carried out the crimes of torture and water boarding did they 'just follow orders' and are not responsible for their actions? That excuse was not acceptable at Nuremberg, at the Hague, in military trials or in any other legal venue. So, what is the reason some citizens are exempt from the law and others are not?
The inconsistencies in the application of the law are an abuse of the judicial system and an affront to anyone who has experienced the legal system as a defendant charged with petty or irrelevant acts against the law.The America of wars past was the one country the enemy wanted to be caught by because America was governed by principles, decency and codes of military conduct. Under Bush II America became an inquisitor, America broke many international treaties and laws and violated many standing US laws. It is remarkable that the Justice Department takes the time, energy and resources necessary to proceed on the John Edwards case but, ignores thecrimes committed by Wall Street and the Bush II administration.
That the Congress and the Senate have failed to proceed on the crimes committee by and during the Bush administration is also shocking. America entered a war, attacked Iraq because of manipulated and bogus information, exaggeration and lies told by those who were elected and appointed to represent. The fact their behaviours resulted in war crimes as well as other crimes makes them susceptible to Justice Department investigation and charges. History repeats itself and unless America takes action these crimes will be committed again by future administrations.
The priorities of the Justice Department do not appear to be in America's best interest because, sex, money and political crimes do not normally affect an entire country in the same way as war, torture and the violations committed by that government did. By doing nothing the Department of Justice ignores its responsibilities and is assisting in the commission of the same crimes again by future administrations. This is another example supporting the comment 'the law is an ass'. The Justice Department and the whole justice system is deteriorating before us and are too busy investigating and prosecuting crimes involving sex, politics, drugs, tax matters and terrorism.
It was a shared hope among many Americans that Barak Obama would be really different and he would make the changes necessary to ensure the apparent illegal behaviours of the Bush II administration could not happen again in the United States of America. To all of the politicians especially those on the right who think it is ok to torture, lie to the people, deliberately attack a country without provocation and to 'out' an undercover CIA agent you are just as guilty. The founding fathers lived, fought and died to make sure America would never act like the Crown. During the Bush II administration America turned into a country ruled by an administration that not only broke laws they admitted it and reacted with great indignation at the mere thought it was wrong.
The truth has already been admitted, the legal cases are virtually made and the Justice Department does nothing. If a citizen gets caught driving without a licence, or is caught speeding or smoking in non-smoking areas or caught smoking marijuana they are charged and if convicted they suffer the consequences. On the scale of things the crimes that are ignored are the worst because they were committed by government employees. The admitted and known crimes committed by the Bush II administration are much more harmful to the people and the country than many of the crimes concentrated upon by the Justice Department and most of the judicial system. When politicians working in and for the government do not have to be accountable or responsible for breaking the law it is a sad commentary on the direction America is taking into the future.

Job Class - Expert
There are 'experts' for everything the media covers. Did you ever just stop to think where do they come from and what makes them 'experts'? How do you become an 'expert' because it is a lucrative and easy business to be in. Imagine what a hard job being an 'expert' is because you sit around studios, expressing your 'expert' opinions on whatever your area of expertise is. Of course it must be exhausting to just talk and talk, nod your head and stare blankly into a camera when you are not talking. Really, no one is listening anyway because there is no such thing as concentration anymore. The 'expert' can say just about anything that pops into their head and bear little responsibility to be right or wrong. It is a tough job.
Not many jobs are as physically or emotionally demanding and few offer comparable economic and publicity benefits. The perks, the networking, the business and financial opportunities available to 'experts' is quite appealing so, maybe a person can just declare themselves an 'expert' on any or many topics and succeed from there. Communication skills, a pretty smile, good looks and the ability to baffle the audience with 'expert' knowledge appear to be the skills required so, not just anybody can be an 'expert'. It is ironic to note that many who serve are hired as 'experts' when not re-elected or when they choose to leave politics.

When does America Leave Afghanistan?
Which conquering army has captured and maintained control of Afghanistan? Alexander the Great was unsuccessful, The Soviet Union failed and America and NATO falter in the same quagmire. Why do armies try? There are little resources to justify the adventures as lapis lazuli and poppy plants do not offer the potential for great economic gain as oil or gold. The benefits to a conquering army are not realized in great wealth or great profit for big business. McDonald's and modern technology simply do not offer sufficient wealth and growth potential to justify military pursuit. Certainly the search for one man can not be reason enough to risk human life and the expenditures of vast amounts to support military endeavours.
What is the reason for America's reluctance to leave Afghanistan? Does the departure from Afghanistan hinder access to a gateway to the East and reduce a buffer zone that hinders Eastern influence into the West? The Taliban are not reason enough to continue in a war that can not be won. If there is a point to the war I would like to know what it is. As there has been little American/NATO success as even the death of bin Laden who was found in Pakistan can not be attributed to the war, the purpose escapes me. If the war is instead a misguided U.S. military attempt to crusade and spread the evangelical word designed to instigate closer to the 'final battle' it is ill conceived. If so, the 'vast military complex' has grown too large, has too much political and media power.
That the war continues on, seemingly into eternity, at great human, financial and political costs is baffling. The threats posed by the Taliban and linked 'terror' movements does not justify continuing. Perhaps the American military was bored, had lots of new toys to play with and needed a place to experiment with and improve their technologies. If that were the case they would be advised to return to the drafting tables because as yet smart bombs, drones, advanced surveillance and secret advancements have done little to secure victory. If the brass needs this war to justify the swollen Pentagon budget and to make contractors richer it still can not be justified.

Is it Guilt?
Having spent considerable time and thought on the question it is time to discuss what it is that makes Israel more powerful than America. Rehashing historical facts that pre-date the bible and are constantly disputed by historical morons, would just cloud the hypothesis. What is the glue that binds America and Israel together? The bond is vitriolically hailed as unshakable, firm and unbreakable and America does fall over backwards to maintain its secondary position in their relationship. Why?
If it were a religious bond it would have existed prior to Israeli statehood and the facts do not support that contention. It is fact America, did exactly what the world community did, and refused Jewish immigration and refugees in order to save lives during the Germany of the nineteen thirties and forties. America did not make any notable or pure attempts to stop the growing anti-Semite movement and in her reluctance ignored the direction Germany was heading. The horrendous chaos, atrocities and the genocide being committed against Jews, scholars, homosexuals, the sick and feeble, the non-Aryan and many others were known in high places they just weren't talked about or acted upon. American business thrived with Germany and many Americans became very, very wealthy as a result.
A few of America's wealthiest political families made their wealth as bankers and in joint business ventures with Germany. Economics, personal gain, big business and political hypocrisy are not reasons enough to justify America's immoral and indefensible decision to ignore the growing problems and threats in the Nazi party. It is beyond comprehension that no one knew the real story until the concentration camps were found. The rumors were just too unbelievable and even though the allies relied upon remarkable intelligence and espionage to win WW II, no-one knew?
America had her own smouldering problems with discrimination and approached that with a blind eye as well. Clearly humanity and concern for fellow human beings can be ruled out as a binding substance.
What is that tie that binds? Could it be the American psyche has been redesigned and programmed by the media in such a way that Americans are controlled by the propaganda of guilt? Of all the destructive emotions guilt is one of the deadliest and most effective methods of mind control through lies, manipulation, and the recognition that America did little to help those persecuted by the Nazi's until after the fact.
Did the vast American media complex influence the population in the same ways as the Ministry of Propaganda did? What institution has the ability to utilize all forms of communication to influence a country to change and in doing so, mold the social conscience and design the perimeters of thought. Only the media could have engineered and solidified the 'bond that ties' so, whoever controls the media controls the Middle East peace process. Therefore, logic dictates whoever who controls the media is the glue that holds the ties tight. What else could it be?
Who owns and controls the media? That is the question. The media is supposed to be the guardian of free speech and it is to act as watchdog over government. It's role is not to propagate thought, take sides or involve opinion. Above all it is supposed to be void of interference from government and other intervention. Yet, the media plays enormous roles in today's politics, economics, social concerns and it does steer the majority in any direction by means of drama, emotion, exaggeration and distortions. The best examples in America today are FOX News, right-wing radio, religious media and its evangelical persuasion.
As the belief in the Rapture religions grew in America a synergy developed between the born-again philosophy and the need for Jerusalem and the Holy Land to ensure the 'end days'. By combining money and media with religion it became a perfect venue for ensuring American military, political and financial support to secure the environment necessary to deliver Armageddon and the Rapture. The partnership between money, media, religious dictates and military domination on the one hand and the guilt delivered in and by the press on the other hand were successful. America and Israel have become entrenched in co-dependency.
They are Siamese twins sharing one brain amongst two bodies incapable of independent thought or action. One cannot move or survive without the other. The guilt by which Israel controls America is the strongest glue in the world.

It is fact America, did exactly what the world community did, and refused Jewish immigration and refugees in order to save lives during the Germany of the nineteen thirties and forties. America did not make any notable or pure attempts to stop the growing anti-Semite movement and in her reluctance ignored the direction Germany was heading. The horrendous chaos, atrocities and the genocide being committed against Jews, scholars, homosexuals, the sick and feeble, the non-Aryan and many others were known in high places they just weren't talked about or acted upon. American business thrived with Germany and many Americans became very, very wealthy as a result.
A few of America's wealthiest political families made their wealth as bankers and in joint business ventures with Germany. Economics, personal gain, big business and political hypocrisy are not reasons enough to justify America's immoral and indefensible decision to ignore the growing problems and threats in the Nazi party. It is beyond comprehension that no one knew the real story until the concentration camps were found. The rumors were just too unbelievable and even though the allies relied upon remarkable intelligence and espionage to win WW II, no-one knew?
America had her own smouldering problems with discrimination and approached that with a blind eye as well. Clearly humanity and concern for fellow human beings can be ruled out as a binding substance.
What is that tie that binds? Could it be the American psyche has been redesigned and programmed by the media in such a way that Americans are controlled by the propaganda of guilt? Of all the destructive emotions guilt is one of the deadliest and most effective methods of mind control through lies, manipulation, and the recognition that America did little to help those persecuted by the Nazi's until after the fact.
Did the vast American media complex influence the population in the same ways as the Ministry of Propaganda did? What institution has the ability to utilize all forms of communication to influence a country to change and in doing so, mold the social conscience and design the perimeters of thought. Only the media could have engineered and solidified the 'bond that ties' so, whoever controls the media controls the Middle East peace process. Therefore, logic dictates whoever who controls the media is the glue that holds the ties tight. What else could it be?
Who owns and controls the media? That is the question. The media is supposed to be the guardian of free speech and it is to act as watchdog over government. It's role is not to propagate thought, take sides or involve opinion. Above all it is supposed to be void of interference from government and other intervention. Yet, the media plays enormous roles in today's politics, economics, social concerns and it does steer the majority in any direction by means of drama, emotion, exaggeration and distortions. The best examples in America today are FOX News, right-wing radio, religious media and its evangelical persuasion.
As the belief in the Rapture religions grew in America a synergy developed between the born-again philosophy and the need for Jerusalem and the Holy Land to ensure the 'end days'. By combining money and media with religion it became a perfect venue for ensuring American military, political and financial support to secure the environment necessary to deliver Armageddon and the Rapture. The partnership between money, media, religious dictates and military domination on the one hand and the guilt delivered in and by the press on the other hand were successful. America and Israel have become entrenched in co-dependency.
They are Siamese twins sharing one brain amongst two bodies incapable of independent thought or action. One cannot move or survive without the other. The guilt by which Israel controls America is the strongest glue in the world.

Do You Think Israel Wants Peace ?
Only if it comes at the expense of the Palestinian people, their land, their dignity, their hope and their continued repression at Israeli hands. Netanyahu was eloquent and funny but was also determined, unshakable and arrogant in his speech to the joint Congressional meeting in Washington. The reaction of his audience was, at the very least, sickening. Their reactions to his stated unrealistic and arrogant requirements for peace simply encourage Israel's growing determination to use any excuse to avoid a fair and equitable resolve. If the airwaves don't lie he actually ruled out the 1967 borders, he scoffed at the 'right of return', he demanded a demilitarized Palestine and he denied sharing Jerusalem.
Saladin, the great Muslim warrior who defeated the Crusaders and freed Jerusalem maintained Jerusalem as a free city. All religions were accepted , all beliefs were respected and no-one was persecuted for religious reasons. This worked extremely well for centuries and Jerusalem thrived. Sharing was an important element of life that brought peace and continuity. Denying the Palestinian people of everything they are owed by the world, the UN and Israel will prove Israel's eventual demise.
If Netanyahu's attitude is a true representation of the Jewish population's basis for a peace I feel sorry for them all. Are they blind to the changing realities on the ground and in the surrounding regions? How do they expect to achieve any progress if their starting point for negotiations is so rigid and so firmly based upon US support no matter what. In fact, America's undying support is perhaps the foundation for arrogance and unrealistic perceptions of what is and what is not acceptable. Palestinian statehood is not to be determined by Israel just as Palestine had no say in the creation of Israel. History proves that Israel was created on Palestinian land and over one million Palestinians were made refugees and have remained so since 1948.
Since 1948 Israel has stolen more and more land, imprisoned the entire population into walled cantons guarded by Israeli military. Israel has committed organized genocide against the Palestinian people and is aghast when they stand up against their jailers and torturers. America is just as guilty of every horror committed against Palestine as Israel would never have gotten away with all of the abuse without US support and military assistance. That the US, until recently, controlled the Security Council international defense of and support for Palestine was impossible. Palestine does not need, nor should it seek Israel's permission or opinion on the creation of Palestine.

The military inequities are so huge. Terror and bombings committed by the people seeking an Israeli state are acceptable of course but, when similar tactics are used against them it is unacceptable. The hypocrisy and the double standard can not be condoned by the international community anymore.
The creation of a free, independent Palestinian state is a Palestinian matter and it does not require the permission or the confines of Israel or America. Soon Israel will be totally surrounded by free, democratic countries no longer controlled by US puppet dictators who receive large amounts of US dollars to ensure they don't support their Palestinian brothers and sisters. As the world is changing Israel should reconsider the arrogant attitude with which peace is approached. Perhaps now is the best time to consider the realities surrounding your country and choose a conciliatory rather than an arrogant approach to peace.

Assad - Another Kling-on Dictator
What is it with these leaders? Do they actually think they deserve to rule? The people want freedom and they want you do leave. Be a good boy Assad and go play in Iran as asylum will be granted. Your behaviour is beyond redemption and Allah would be sickened by your cruelty. Your fellow Syrians are ready for change and who are you to deny an entire population through terror and brutality. Leave before international government's actually do something to interrupt your terror. As for the Syrian military and police you should be ashamed and should face international courts for firing upon and hurting the people who you are to serve and protect.
Iranian involvement and their support for your behaviour will not end in your satisfaction. As they did before, the Iranian people will revolt against their leaders and you will not be exempt from their wrath. So Assad you and yours should take the smart way out and leave Syria. Those fellow citizens who serve Assad's regime will one day no longer be able to hide inside the clothing of military or police and their day will come. Those Troublesome Politicians
From the Newtster to the Republican House majority to the hopefuls and the wanna bee's please before making further fools of yourselves examine your history. The 1967 borders have been a starting place in Palestinian and Israeli peace discussions for at least two decades. Democratic and Republican Presidents have stated so in public in policy papers and the like. This was no secret, this is no surprise as well this outcry of false anger is just another stupid, reason without reason, to attack President Obama.

The President's Speech May 19, 2011
As usual it was a great speech and it was well delivered with compassion and determination. Did it go far enough? It was not as strong in conviction as it could have been and I wonder why a stronger stance wasn't taken on Syria, Bahrain, Libya and the other countries approaching change? Perhaps the damage done by the preceding government so reduced America's ability to affect world affairs that clout is missing. Maybe dependence on oil further weakens America's position. Has American influence and power been so diminished because of the Bush Presidency that America can no longer be politically forceful. Perhaps President Obama has chosen a more cautious approach and that may be the proper thing to do politically but, many people around the world are hoping for strong intervention to stop governments from slaughtering citizens.
If considered thought had prevailed in the previous administration America would not be viewed as an inconsistent and unfair broker of peace. This has ensured a trust deficit in America's ability to secure peace but, now is the time to attempt peace between Israel and Palestine and now is the time for Israeli compromise. The writing is on the wall and as it was ignored in the past it must not be ignored now. Please read it carefully. Doing so and acting upon it may prove to be the best advice for the politicians to follow. The pen is still mightier then the sword oh, the keyboard is mightier than the cluster bomb.

Nuance?
America has developed a fear attitude that has surrounded and influenced foreign policy and international relations. America, especially during the Bush regime, encouraged and created an atmosphere of political fear that enabled Pakistan and other countries to use that very atmosphere against her. Reaction rooted in religious dogma, concentration on military might and a disregard for intelligent approaches has given President Obama many unnecessary hurdles. If coolness and determined thought had prevailed after 911 a consistent and smart foreign policy would have been developed. Military might, rendition, secret prisons, torture and the Patriot Act served only the interests of a government controlled by old men determined to prove America's domination.
The fundamental motivating factor of the foreign policy adopted at that time has proven disastrous and nonsensical. The fiscal catastrophe it created is for another blog. The US, under the rule of Bush damaged America more than anything else in her history. President Obama has been somewhat successful in his attempts to reverse that inept and misguided direction. Now, more than ever the 'Great Satan' must change and progress its direction in the Middle East and North Africa. The time for bully pulpits and absolute support of Israeli attempts to 'cull' the Palestinian problem must be reversed immediately. Unconditional rigid unwavering support for what Israel does, must stop.
A new approach is necessary and it must be developed thoughtfully with equity, honesty and open consideration for both sides. The historical approach has not and will not ever be successful and in fact is responsible for the atrocities Israel has committed against the citizens of Palestine and Lebanon. The world is changing and the Muslim world is maturing into democratic governance. Once such has been achieved the people of Egypt, Libya, Syria, and others will be empowered with confidence and will affect the foreign policies of their countries. If the inequity does not stop now I suspect greater turmoil, more hatred and increased abilities to challenge Israel will evolve quickly and with determination.
Unless America takes effective and intelligent new approaches to peace certain disaster will loom. Palestinian supporters are going to achieve their voice and ability to challenge the status quo. Rather than continue with reactionary policies and tired dogma the US must develop a new policy and must be determined to see it through to its end. If Israel is permitted to continue its existing policies and practices against Palestine and Lebanon the people of the region will rise in protest. Their numbers alone are worthy of deep consideration.
Israel can be controlled by US fiscal and foreign policies that are progressive, fair and speak to the needs of both peoples.
If America wants to remain a leader in world affairs and if America wants a restored respect it must alter its existing approaches. Stand up for what is right and condemn what is wrong. Do so publicly and with strength as a respect will evolve amongst all peoples involved thus creating a new atmosphere of trust and perhaps an inclination to compromise will emerge. If America does not develop an honest, fair and believable set of policies the outcome may not be to her liking. Invigorate your foreign policy in the region and welcome new and fresh ideas by following a renewed approach that does not include only support for and defense of Israel.
Get in touch with the world community and open your eyes to a more considered and equitable policy. When Israel does something wrong and inappropriate stand up and say so. Show the world that America is a fair broker of peace and will attempt to resolve the long standing quagmire it has created in the region by its unwavering and unconditional support for anything Israel does. Doing otherwise has and will continue to prove disastrous. It is time for real change because ignoring the realities of the region will haunt America and the world.

America Needs a New Political Party
Listening to presidential candidate Ron Paul has proven to be an enjoyable and refreshing experience albeit politics, the ideals of his proposals (re: the predicted benefits) are enticing to intellect and spirit. The philosophy expressed by Mr.Paul is the one closest to that of the founding fathers. The premise of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the writings and behaviours of the 'fathers' did celebrate and encourage freedom of the individual to think, express and believe independently without fear of retribution from the state... Independence and freedom are the cornerstones of democracy and the foundations of a free society.
Limited government that is by, for and of the people is true government. Strong limitations on American foreign policy and all associated commitments and legislation to never war again except in self-defence are perhaps America's most required changes. Mr.Paul is absolutely correct regarding the legalization of all drugs as it is a matter of choice just as alcohol, abortion and gun ownership. Alcohol is legal and we do not have more alcoholics just because it is legal. People drink and people do drugs whether legal or not. Therefore, as it was until the 1930's everything should be legal. This would ensure clean controlled drugs, reduced crime and violence. Increased government revenue and debt reduction is an obvious plus. Many lives would be saved and prisons and jails would not be so over extended.. The benefits in job creation in the medical and all other associated fields is worth its deep consideration. People who do drugs do so whether legal or not thus only a slight increase in usage or a decrease is predicted . Employment and revenue intake would soar .
Taking care of America and Americans is why the people elect representatives not to line the pockets of big business, the rich or religious affiliations. Innovation, scientific pursuit and medical research would flourish as available moneys saved on military and foreign obligations instead could be spent on important things. Imagine a world where America's role was that of peacemaker rather than crusader. Foreign interests, manifest destiny ideologies and the policing of the world is not an American right or duty. The people should not pay for the interests of those who profit from military adventures.
Not only does Ron Paul make complete sense, he truly represents the causes and ideals as were intended by the founding fathers. Freedom from tyranny and the freedoms they enshrined for the people are assaulted every day in the House of Representatives and the Senate. How many laws are actually on the books and how many more are needed? It seems to me there is a law, a regulation and a penalty for just about everything. The law is so expansive and the government is so large there is no escape. Constant observation in a police state, restrictions on the individuals right to choose, the right to pursue happiness has been redefined by courts and government. It is time to be free.
If the Ron Paul philosophy formed the basis of a new political party free from the old, stale dogma of the existing political system America's prosperity and greatness could not be challenged. It is now time to change directions before it is too late. A country that is governed by a minuscule group of compromised, self satisfying old men with outdated rigid beliefs does not represent the people. A country that is governed by regressive laws and legislation is not free and is not democratic. How many laws are needed ? Everyday laws are passed and improved to further limit freedom and to what end I ask? No person or group of people has the right or the power to restrict and eliminate rights or freedoms. If Mr. Paul was running for president under the banner of a new political party absolutely divorced in all ways from the Republican Party his chances for election might surprise everyone. It is my contention the America people are hungry for an alternative.

When freedom and a type of democracy have been achieved through your blood, sacrifice and determined fight, please make sure your new political freedoms do not take you down the same path as the West. Learn from our many mistakes by putting specific safeguards into your political process and predetermine there is always a watchdog group protecting the people. Elections, voter re-call, term limits, Referendum and other protections must be cemented in governing rules and regulations. Freedoms and rights enjoyed by all whether male or female, rich or poor, must be ensured and written into Constitutions, Bills of Rights and Responsibilities and all governing documents.
It might be smart to require elected representatives to vote the way the people want instead of the way the political party wants. This provision alone will ensure your views are represented and it will make politicians accountable. Riches and money will not be able to determine your future or your country's future if the elected have to do what the elector wants. In its ideal form democracy is a wonderful governing system however, unless the people protect themselves from corruption, special interests, religious dogma and self aggrandizement by political leaders, democracy can be stifled.
Military should not be able to hold political office and civilian stewardship over government offices and cabinet positions helps to maintain a bit of openness and honesty. Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Expression , Freedom to protest and criticize are fundamental to any democratic movement and must be guaranteed at all costs. Protect your environment, your culture, your lifestyles and do not allow government to diminish any freedom you fought so hard to attain.
Make sure your judiciary is uniform and fair and treats all people equally. Discard discrimination of all kinds and do take care of those who can not take care of themselves by virtue of service to their country, disability or accident. Limit political financial contributions from business, corporations and the wealthy as this will help the people to keep their land, their resources and will secure the honesty of the political system you choose.
As the West declines in all ways because we ignored our right and responsibility to police our governments and our political system. The West has forsaken the aims and aspirations of our forefathers who struggled and fought for freedom and if you do not want to end up in the same political quagmire be active and be aware. Participate and pay attention to your government otherwise the East will eventually evolve into a mirror image of the West.

Desperation in Legislation
While the media was consumed with the bin Laden death the House Republicans snuck in another anti-abortion law virtually unnoticed by anyone except Rachel Maddow. I want to know why the Democrats continue to allow this kind of legislation to proceed unchallenged? When will a Democrat offer legislation to make the Republicans put their money where their mouths are? If those consumed with stopping abortion had to pay for each child not aborted and had to assume all economic responsibility for each child from birth to adulthood I am sure the religiously motivated movement would shrivel into dust rather quickly.
Sign them all up to a national database accountable to each unwanted child. If each anti-abortion sycophant had to commit their human resources, homes and bank accounts to support every child not aborted the movement would die a quick death. Why haven't any Democrats introduced these types of bills to counter the erosion of women's rights, the right to privacy and the right to choose? The more interference presented the better and, if they succeed in criminalizing abortion what is next?

Another Theory?
Just because the picture of the dead bin Laden won't be released will another conspiracy theory evolve? Many will dispute the authenticity of the event even though his child, wife and other children may have witnessed the shooting. Photographs will not deter those who thrive on conspiracies or seek publicity from pursuing such. If I remember correctly G.Bush claimed bin Laden was of little concern to him just two years after 911 but I suspect that was to cover for his inability to catch him. It is beyond ironic that in eight years Bush could not find bin Laden and President Obama and his sources found him less than one year into his presidency and eliminated him on the very anniversary of Bush's 'mission accomplished' speech. In two years President Obama found and successfully achieved the death of the terrorist.
Despite the persistent media barrage of information and the public rejoicing of Osama's death I am not convinced that al Qaeda poses the threat it once did. Exaggerations by the Bush regime encouraged the world to view the Arab as an incredibly powerful terrorist worthy of worldwide fear and used him to justify two wars and the deaths of perhaps as many as hundreds of thousands. In retrospect who was the most powerful terrorist? Were not the people of Iraq, Afganistan and those who suffered rendition, Gitmo, torture and the secret prison system terrorized by Bush, his tactics and the anti-terror programs he approved and defended.
In no way can the horror of 911 and every other terror attack be forgiven or forgotten yet consideration must be given to the brutality committed by the US during the Bush regime.If serious consideration was given to my question who is the worst terrorist the only answer possible is the one who is responsible for the most deaths no matter the justifications.

Reform The United Nations
As there are too many required changes this will only address the role of the Security Council. What motivates the Council? Is it government contracts and already made deals between governments and their representatives or is a 'united' concern for the well being of humanity the motivating factor? Decisions and the resulting actions taken by the Security Council are too slow, too political and usually insufficient for the problem requiring attention. NATO is not much better.
When governments slaughter their own citizens there should be pre-determined political, humanitarian, military and humanitarian programs in place and pre-sanctioned by the UN. to support the people affected. If predetermined United Nations 'rules', 'agreements' or 'treaties' existed to prevent and stop genocide, mass murder by governments against their people time would not be wasted in closed door discussions and bargaining. The existence of standards could act as a deterrent to a dictator considering turning the military on the people.
Perhaps the military organizations of each country belonging to the UN should be held to a standard whereby UN dictates prevent military from firing on citizens in order to save any regime. Maybe if those who hold the trigger could be bound by a military 'code of ethics' and slaughters could be prevented. There is a way to accomplish this. As it is now War Crimes investigations, after the fact, are politically motivated and often result in no accountability for the offending politicians or their military lapdogs. To stop the increasing violence being used against people seeking freedom in Libya, Syria, Palestine, Iran, and many other countries including China, the United Nations must be decisive, quick and intolerant.
Target the offending government leaders, their homes and bunkers with smart bombs, predator drone attacks and black ops forces made up of NATO or a similar organization. Use whatever force is necessary and provide all assistance required by the people including but not limited to military, humanitarian or other
necessities. Freezing personal accounts of Kling-on dictators who are worth billions appears ineffective to date as the killing hasn't stopped. It is obvious the fight for freedom will spread throughout the oppressed world and unless quick and decisive actions are taken by the world community many people will continue to die at the hands of their governments.
Political expediency, the quest for oil, back door deals, money and the lust for power can not be justified as reasons not to take swift targeted action against any dictator or military guilty of war crimes, crimes against humanity and the slaughter of innocents. It seems as though the UN Security Council is too entrenched, too small and not representative enough to ensure that humanity prevails. Perhaps countries have too many vested interests and perhaps the UN is as impotent as some suggest. Maybe those member countries that do control the balance of power in the Security Council have too much to loose if a strong stand is taken against any leader responsible for crimes against the people.
Verbal condemnations reluctantly spoken by leaders of the free world do nothing but encourage the behaviours of the offenders. If strong actions had been and were being taken against Israel for its inhumane treatment, persecution, forcible confinement and murder of Palestinians others would have been deterred from doing the same to their own people. The status quo is not good enough. The UN and the Security Council has set standards that render equality an anomaly. Member countries that are guilty of similar crimes against their people should be left out of the Council even if that means changes in permanent membership.
Divesting itself from the tangled web of politics and fiscal gain they have weaved throughout the Council could better serve the UN and the world it claims to represent. Until the composition of the Security Council changes into a democratic representation of our world dictators will continue to oppress and kill. When the penalties and consequences for crimes against humanity evolve to match the crimes committed only then will it stop. Jockying for Position
The US presidential election is many moons away and the race for recognition is on. The economy and jobs appear to be the most important issues on American minds right now and would be republican politicians are riding a wave of distorted issues in the hope of sailing into political office. To some it matters not how ridiculous or infantile their platforms are. Imagine Trump as leader of the free world, wouldn't that lower Moody's economic forecasts for America as bankruptcy of a country must be more devastating, more complicated and more costly than a personal declaration. The long-term effects could unbalance strategic financial operations on a world wide scale. Is he even remotely aware of the potential negative effects of such?
That he or anyone can declare their intentions is a truly democratic event and reaffirms the American way yet, it also stands as an indicator of personal aggrandizement far beyond the absurd. That Trump seems convinced the way to political office is through the ha ranging of President Obama by way of instigating a conspiracy of facts regarding birth, education and whatever else he dreams up indicates he is not fit to hold any office. The way to the Oval Office should be through thoughtful, relevant and smart politics not by way of denigrating those who have succeeded before you. If you have nothing intelligent to say and nothing productive to offer what are you doing Donald? Publicity should not be the motivating factor for anyone to seek the office of the President.
Persevere and do not stop making up things to benefit your cause as you are a glowing example of Republican dogma, tactics and strategies that are designed to batter rather than better. As for the other hopeful protagonists such as Bachman, Pawlenty, Romney why not first expand your limited brain power and then take on issues of importance and progress rather than the mundane, stale and retrogressive issues you center on. I seriously doubt any of you are anointed representatives of a higher power.

Vote Strategically
Minority governments are usually the best because a strong opposition can, if it wants, can act as watchdog for the people and can influence bad political decisions. Political positions that are unpopular with the people have a better chance at failure if the opposition join with the voter. Public outcry, media attention and the political gymnastics of the opposition can and have changed the ruling party's attempts at bad legislation and regressive platforms. The fear of 'elections' can limit the ability of the party in power to proceed with things not wanted by the people.
When casting your vote on Monday please consider the fact that it is the 'fear' that tends to keep the party in power in check. Absolute power... This phrase is true. A government left to its own devices will ignore campaign promises, platform convictions and the ideals upon which they campaigned. The concept of 'checks and balances' was built into the US Constitution although the ideal has been twisted and deferred by both the Democrats and Republicans there is no reason Canadians should relinquish their role as guardians of the process. Allowing any political party a ruling majority only serves to reduce the power of the people while at the same time encourages those in power to assume more control than deserved. Canada works best with minority governments as a modicum of accountability can be realized. Challenge and fear of loosing power can help maintain, at the least, a hint of democracy.
Polls still do not reflect the fact that Canadians have learned it is vital to keep politicians honest otherwise we will fall deeper into the pit of political control by the state until we reach the same depths as did the US during the Bush II reign. Canada is still young enough to avoid those pitfalls but, Canadians will have to start 'strategic' voting in order to progress. By voting the incumbent out of office we can ensure no party has a grip on the country, its resources, its future or its people. A minority NDP or Liberal government would be good so long as the conservatives do not hold the balance of power.
It is abundantly clear that Jack Layton has evolved into a very good speaker and in comparison to Harper and Ignatief can captivate a crowd. The NDP are maturing in their platform and presentation. Perhaps it is time Canada gave them a chance to reinvigorate our country with their voiced platform that does affect the people rather than big business and corrupt politics. As first time representatives of the Canadian people in the form of government perhaps they would do a good job in comparison. Canada might benefit from the different and enthusiastic representation they offer. As they have lots to prove and have fought so hard for recognition maybe we would be doing Canada a favour by just simply rejecting the old and stale lies that the Liberals and Conservatives have subjected us to for over a century.
When you enter the polling booth please consider the experiences we have lived through during the Harper reign such as the G 8 Summit shenanigans, the extension of our involvement in Afghanistan, the treatment of 'suspected' terrorists including torture and the relationship with their US counterparts at Gitmo. Re-electing the Conservatives will only serve to strengthen the neo-con, right-wing movement as it attempts to spread itself across the whole continent. If you want legislation in Canada that mimics the Patriot Act and curtails freedom of speech, freedom to protest and strengthens the government's control by surveillance, police state behaviour and endorses security rather than freedom then vote the old, stale party back into power. If you want a better Canada and want to remain a unique and free people vote for change and opportunity.

Shared Sacrifice!
What the hell does that mean? How about we all sacrifice at a per ca pita ratio ensuring a fair and equitable sacrifice shared amongst those who have and those who have not. Legalize, distribute and market clean, cheap drugs that are wanted and used by a majority of people. Many deny their choice of drug whether marijuana and derivatives, cocaine, prescription narcotics, stimulants whatever. This would decriminalize and legitamise an already world-wide cartel that carries on untaxed, unsupervised and usually with the paid assistance of governments and business alike. The amount of money being made in the illegal drug business from the top down is astronomical and if government would divorce itself from religious and other dogma pure mathematics could prevail. Debt is at monumental proportions on a world wide scale and so is the use of drugs so, where there is demand big government should supply.
There are no age, size, race or gender barriers to using and wanting to escape and improve ones mood and abilities to cope. Denial of such is a blind denial and worthy of disregard. The laws and its punishments have not been successful at diminishing the use of illegal substances and neither will any other punitive measures. The death penalty has not succeeded as a deterrent and in fact it seems as though recorded murders are on the rise. Arrests for drug and drug related activity contributes to the over crowding burdens placed on the courts to prosecute and the jails to house offenders. Too many lawyers get rich on this strange system. Obviously there is a large market and since the phenomenon is beyond the ability of government and law to police and prevent, why is legalization such a problem?
Debt could be quickly erased while a wide horizon of business potential could develop plus so many jobs would be created in the horticulture, transport, distribution and quality control aspects of the business. If the consumer could access what they want at cheap prices and if this would eliminate crime, bad products and all the other bad aspects associated with the existing drug cartel practices a good new tax base would be created. Police, the courts and the legal profession as well as the jail and penitentiary systems would benefit from a more manageable number of inmates, court cases and police time and effort could be spent on crime.

How about a shared sacrifice that includes the end of the costly and lost war on drugs. It is customary throughout man's history to stop fighting loosing battles so when will the rigid dogma, religious and political opinions fade into the sunset allowing freedom and democracy to prevail giving people the ability to do what they do without fear of governmental, police or judicial involvements. Ridding the world of the criminal element would be one giant step forward for man and a balanced budget for many countries.
There are no age, size, race or gender barriers to using and wanting to escape and improve ones mood and abilities to cope. Denial of such is a blind denial and worthy of disregard. The laws and its punishments have not been successful at diminishing the use of illegal substances and neither will any other punitive measures. The death penalty has not succeeded as a deterrent and in fact it seems as though recorded murders are on the rise. Arrests for drug and drug related activity contributes to the over crowding burdens placed on the courts to prosecute and the jails to house offenders. Too many lawyers get rich on this strange system. Obviously there is a large market and since the phenomenon is beyond the ability of government and law to police and prevent, why is legalization such a problem?
Debt could be quickly erased while a wide horizon of business potential could develop plus so many jobs would be created in the horticulture, transport, distribution and quality control aspects of the business. If the consumer could access what they want at cheap prices and if this would eliminate crime, bad products and all the other bad aspects associated with the existing drug cartel practices a good new tax base would be created. Police, the courts and the legal profession as well as the jail and penitentiary systems would benefit from a more manageable number of inmates, court cases and police time and effort could be spent on crime.

Don't Stop Searching
If you are open-minded and willing to venture into the unknown world that existed before us the Labyrinth must be unearthed. It is believed to be located in Egypt approx. 70-90 miles west of the Giza Plateau. What wonders and what knowledge is buried deep beneath the desert sands? Heradotus wrote that he saw the wondrous Labyrinth and it amazed him beyond the pyramids. It was a vast repository of knowledge, information and truths far beyond that of any existing site. Why hasn't it been unearthed? Is it because of 'red-tape' and government apathy or is it not in man's best interest to access the information believed to be there? If the secrets of our world are housed there, is it considered beyond man's ability to accept the truths found there? Who, makes these decisions?
Certainly there would be great interest and many resources made available if the Library of Alexandria could be explored. Unfortunately it was destroyed by fire during the time of Cleopatra but, if it were believed buried amongst the rubble of time we would have scavenged it long ago. If a site or sites exist throughout our known world we should waste no time, spare no resource and excavate. The purpose should not be to seek treasures of gold and gems instead, knowledge of our past and prediction of the future should be the goal. Perhaps ancient secrets or an alien knowledge handed down from our forefathers is housed there. If, it is as was described by the Greek author many insights and advancements might be available to better mankind and improve our life today and maybe could assure of a future. Man, as benevolent benefactor would not squander the 'wonders' as described by Herodotus as we are civilized and without nefarious conviction. Contrary to the thought of Rouseau man is not innately good otherwise we would have progressed in spirit, wisdom and practice and clearly, we have not.
Centuries of war, speculation, dogma, science, and research have not provided us with certain wisdom to control the bad and encourage the good. Ancient cultures have left us to question, learn and progress to higher plains yet, we falter. Perhaps that is why so many mysteries remain unsolved to the satisfaction of the thinking public. If repository sites do exist what secrets and revelations do they hold? Some believe the Maya, the Hopi and numerous indigenous cultures, the Aztec, the Egyptians, those from the Middle East and India as well as others had help to achieve development. How much have we destroyed, how much have we discarded for lack of monetary value, how much have we, in our abundant ignorance, destroyed and how much remains undiscovered?
Are the mysteries of our origins so intimidating and foreign to our belief systems the truth dare not be told? Many want to know and are prepared spiritually and mentally to consider the reality. Still, we remain a childish species as we have not been able to cast aside all of the distractions of hate and fear. A fear based on deeprooted centuries old dogma be it religious or other has, for some reason, been allowed to deny that which is ours by inheritance. As we borrow the earth from our future we also borrow time from the past. Without what we have already learned, employed and practiced we still exist. Despite the facts of starvation, war, famine, geological and environmental disturbances mankind continues. Perhaps that is why, we have yet to offer any concerted effort to evolve.
It seems those from the past have spoken to us through prophecy, sight, music, art, literature and scientific pursuits yet, we have progressed little. However, many profit in meaningless ways including financial gain, power and control or great adulation. That is only a few out of a combined population of billions. Is it to their prosperity that the truth is held sacred and beyond our comprehension? Evolved minds have proceeded us and those we remember are ever popular today. Jesus, Nostradamus, Mohammad, are but a few of the most revered and are considered worthy of dissection. Many authors, musicians, philosophers, scientists, craftsmen, inventors, mathematicians and astronomers from the past and those of today share an insight generally lacking within the combined human experience.
Have we become so programmed and directed that we have lost the natural curiosity to find the answers to questions still puzzling to us today. It would be intelligent to alter the balance of mankind and reverse the circle of concentration. People have divorced themselves from their environments and therefore alienate themselves from the answers to their own questions and deny themselves a potential resource to ensure survival. Is it even remotely possible that writings believed today to be the word of God, no matter the religious persuasion, are a road map to be followed to reach the nirvana? Perhaps the heaven we seek is a world without hatred, violence, war, discrimination and includes a great capacity for intellectual growth, political and economic maturity, social and cultural development beyond our imaginations. Any possibility for improvement of the human condition must be pursued. Maybe we exist as two dimensional beings in a multi-dimensional world. Knowledge may open a new world to us.
If not for intellectual, scientific or environmental reasons we should seek out every known or suspected site potentially housing the kind of knowledge lost to us or withdrawn from us by higher forces, who knew the infallible truth that mankind would mess it up and distort the potential. The discovery of once lost manuscripts and writings from the past such as the Gnostic Gospels, Kolbrin Bible, the Book of the Dead, Nostradamus's lost manuscript(?) along with the interpreted works from the past may be the slowest possible transmission of truth that mankind can absorb. Some believe the 'end days' are upon us and certainly the increasingly violent and terrible catastrophes that are occurring with seeming frequency might be the proof. Somehow we have failed to search for and find the knowledge required to combat what is called the 'inevatible'. It matters not that we have other important issues to deal with as it is matter of survival and a survival that far exceeds Darwin's theory of 'the fittest'.

Water spouts, rogue waves, deceptive weather patterns and methane or natural gas fissures are possible causes of seemingly unexplained occurrences in the Bermuda Triangle. If you are of a different temperament you might consider other possibilities. Since strange happenings have been long associated with this area it is not a recent phenomenon. Columbus and mates recorded orbs of lights in the sky that also entered and disappeared into the ocean. Ships, planes,and various sized crafts have entered the triangle and never come out. Often times no debris, no tangible evidence exists to search for or rescue. Flight 19 and the Mariner search plane disappeared with no sign of wreckage and to date none has been found. It is thought they simply evaporated while travelling through areas of the triangle. Witnesses to such events tell of disappearing ships, boats, planes into a light surrounded by a swirling fog that opens into a tunnel. This leads some to consider a time and space distortion, a vortex effect, a doorway to another dimension, a worm hole or other unexplained phenomena.
Theories range from the possible to the ridiculous while others are truly intriguing. Sparking in many adventurers a curiosity to pursue answers to the questions posed about the Bermuda Triangle. Like Area 51 the US military operates a Naval base on Andros Island named AUTEC with grand facilities above and below sea level. A quiet research facility located and an excellent location to study, research and experiment with the suspected power of the Triangle. There are suggestions that an association may exist with an Atlantis type civilization who once thrived in the area until a calamity of some kind either destroyed it or a method of hiding the mythical city in another dimension or plane was developed. Could it have descended deep into the belly of the planet and is the clandestine home of Atlantians, US military and researchers from all over.
Is it a research facility so advanced we are unable to control it, if surfaced or are we learning from it as a means of improving humanity? Maybe the show Stargate Atlantis is preparing us for the inevitable acknowledgement of its existence. Is there a better way to infiltrate the brain than through the airwaves and the wonders of modern storytelling? This thought pattern pertains to many concepts once unimaginable but now accepted additions to our life, culture and points of view. If it appears on the television or in the movies it becomes less feared, possible to the imagination and finally accepted. Are we being prepared for a great disclosure of information?
That any military is involved does imply a nefarious intent on man's behalf. Security does not require denial or lies it is rooted in honour, loyalty and respect and any who betray endure the consequences. Legends, myths and writings from our past do inspire the possibility of existence of the city. It was Plato who introduced us to Atlantis after he read the writings of Solan who attained his knowledge from Turkish merchants who were educated by the Egyptians.
If there is any truth to the possibility something powerful and unexplained is on-going in the area known as the Bermuda Triangle let us be cautious of its full implications if it is under the direction of the military. If, the military is working with the descendants of an Atlantis world is it to better our world, is it to help solve earth's problems if so, they might want to hurry up before even technological advancements are outclassed by Mother Nature.
If not, what are they hiding? Do they deceive us, do they hold secret our very creation, evolution and history or, do they hold sacred to themselves knowledge, travel, experiences, advancement and truth the some of which has been determined would create great havoc amongst mankind. Is mass hysteria, or mass fear predicted if the truth be told. I believe mankind desperately needs to know something new, challenging and exciting to enhance limited perspectives and provide intellectual and spiritual reason to continue exploring our universe.

Watched a good Documentary
Vision TV showed an excellent documentary on the evangelical movement within the American military. It was both a confirmation of thoughts long held and an examination of potential ramifications of the simulation. It appears a link exists between the fundamental Evangelical Christian movement and all facets of the US military. In fact, some accuse of a determined plan to populate the officer ranks with the strictest believers and by means of the 'trickle down' effect form a soldier rigid in religious belief and prepared for the 'end days'. A virtual military coup by the military itself as it marches onward from Muslim country to Arab strongholds. The battle of Armageddon being the ultimate military goal.
Creating the Army of God controlled by and propagated with born-again fundamentalists bent on the final battle between good and evil predicted to mark the return of Jesus, the Rapture, the defeat of Satan or the Anti-Christ, the final ascent to heaven and everlasting life only for those who believe. In the ideal only Christians and specifically only born-again Christian's may enter the house of God. In order for the fundamental strategy to be successful a huge, well armed military anointed with the power of God will as their Crusader forefathers, march across the Middle East slaughtering all in their path until inciting the final battle.
It is ironic that the military is highly supported, sometimes to financial fault, by the Republican Party it is also possible the military and the Party share similar membership and similar affiliations. It is possible those who consider themselves as fundamentalist evangelical Christians may also make up the highest percentage of military members. Neglecting the 'don't ask don't tell' directive one need simply listen, watch and observe the US military in action internally and outwardly and the proposition appears correct.
While all faiths are represented the highest proportion of officers come from the three top military academies all of which have strong fundamental evangelical roots. Those who participate and those who conform to military requirements must also, as a way of fitting-in to military life, join in the religious movement as a means to an end. Whether it is promotion or acceptance, it is easier to be a Christian. Fear versus behaviour or what some call the 'anxiety of moral choice' guides the lost who finally settle for the belief in 'everlasting life' and total happiness guaranteed by God. The good soldier must love his God more than life itself and he must fight for his God to his death.
By corrupting and infiltrating the world's largest best equipped army the goal of attaining a Christain Theocracy anointed by God the 'last days' seem to be upon us. Should the armies of the Muslim world unite there would be two tremendous armies who could be goaded into facing each other on the battlefield. That is expected to be in Israel by virtue of prophecy, biblical writings, beliefs and long held ideas. If the end is near in accordance with fundamental suggestion just what army from the east is massing to fight? Certainly no-one considers Hamas, Hezbolla, al Queda , the Taliban or any other group to be the Army of Satan as size alone prevents such an absurd consideration. So, if the US military has become the threat warned by President Eisenhower then it is time to sweep the military clean. The Vast Industrial Military Complex lead by, trained by, controlled by and made up of predominately Evangelical fundamentalist Christians is to be feared. Not only should the free world fear, the American people, a majority of whom do not share the same fundamental ideology, should also fear the potential problems that such a military could cause. A religious fever for eternal life backed by a powerful military already exclusively involved in two nonsensical wars in the Middle East with fingers in the pie in Libya and there might be some credibility to the concern.
The possibility, if true is perhaps another sign of the Apocalypse. Israel has been given to those of the Jewish tradition and at least one of God's armies has evolved still many pray for the temple to be rebuilt and await the return of Jesus. The existence of the al Asqa Mosque, a most revered sacred Muslim holy place and the lacking opposition army thankfully render prophecy, fanaticism and extreme fundamental beliefs still impotent.

Did you catch Moammar jutting out of the car roof in Tripoli yesterday? He certainly thinks he is in a good position. Seriously flawed conviction but a Kadaffy trait nonetheless as he waved his fights as a victor entering the arena. Delusional, yeah. Does he have enough support on the streets of Tripoli to overcome his people's revolt? Probable not, as his paid sycophants and extended family and tribesmen certainly do not relish the end of his regime. Uncertainty and possible death by revenging countrymen surly await those who remain loyal to Moammar in the event of his demise. He is another Kling-on dictator too wrapped up in his own inability to relinquish his hold and retire into obscurity. Perhaps he can not find a 'suitable' asylum where he can maintain his excentric and demented life style.
Oh, will no other Middle Eastern dictator offer suitable accomodations? Is he as reviled by them as he is by the west?
